Tom Felton, an English actor and musician, best known for playing Draco Malfoy in the film adaptations of the best-selling Harry Potter fantasy novels by J. K. Rowling, reportedly collapsed during a celebrity golf tournament in Wisconsin on Thursday, September 23.
The 34-year-old actor was part of the European celebrity team and he suffered from a medical event while walking off the 18th green at the conclusion of their match with the U.S. team.
It was learnt that the teams had just finished posing for photos when Felton stopped moving and fell to the ground. Panicked calls for medical assistance ensued as the European Ryder Cup team came down the ninth fairway during their practice round.
Felton was escorted off the course in a cart, and he appeared conscious but was seen lying down on a stretcher. Spectators applauded him as he headed away for treatment. There is no immediate word on his condition.
The European team included soccer star Alessandro Del Piero, former Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks player Toni Kuko, hockey star Teemu Selänne, actress Stephanie Szostak and former NBA player Sasha Vuja.
The American team was made up of former U.S. Olympic hockey gold medalist Mike Eurzione, Green Bay Packers Super Bowl champion A.J. Hawk, speedskating gold medalist Dan Jansen, comedian Rob Riggle, surfer Kelly Slater and professional wrestler Mandy Rose.
