And the winner is…...that has been the question topping the chart in the minds of millions of fans of the ongoing Shine Ya Eye edition of BBN season 6.
With millions of viewership not just in Naija but across Africa and some parts of the world, Big Brother Nigeria, otherwise called BBNaija is arguably the most popular reality TV show out of Nigeria, even in the continent.
The show which made a return for a sixth season earlier this year did top the Lockdown seasons’ grand prize as MultiChoice Nigeria had announced a grand prize of N90m-the highest in the show’s history.
The show tagged “Shine Ya Eye” is the ongoing sixth season of the Nigerian version of the reality show Big Brother. It premiered on 24 and 25 July 2021 on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29.
The reality TV show has got fans and lovers of the dramatic glued to their screen for over 70 days and counting with the show coming to an end Sunday, October 3.
The winner of the Big Brother Naija show will win a grand prize of 90 Million naira together with other prizes. Here’s a rough list of what to be gained:
- 30 Million Naira Cash Prize.
- Funded Abeg Digital Wallet.
- Bitcoins from Patricia.
- An Apartment from Revolution Plus Properties.
- A car from IVM
The reality TV show started with 26 contestants leaving 6 finalists; Whitemoney, Liquorose, Pere, Cross, Angel and Emmanuel vying for the grand prize.
The big question remains; who will secure the bag tomorrow? Truthfully speaking in my humble opinion, when it comes to the Big Brother Naija show no one ever loses, everyone wins, so whether your horseman picks the bag come Sunday no troll anyone because las las dem don blow! I come in peace.
Well, while in the house, housemates are provided with opportunities to become millionaires even without winning the grand prize. They get to participate in games and challenges put together by the organisers and sponsors and at the end of every challenge, the winning team get mouth-watering gifts. Asides from the wins, there are endorsements deals here and there to be signed…..so you see, las las all of dem don blow!
Meanwhile, 26-year-old fast-rising rapper, Olamilekan ‘Laycon’ Agbeleshe, won the 2020 Big Brother Naija Lockdown edition.
Following his win, Laycon walked away with N30m cash prize; a two-bedroom apartment courtesy Revolution Plus; a top-of-the-range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin courtesy Guinness; and home appliances courtesy Scanfrost.
Others are a trip to Dubai packaged by Travelbeta; a year’s supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it, and Colgate toothpaste; a year’s supply of Pepsi; a branded chiller; a trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale; and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.
