Fast-rising Nigerian filmmaker and celebrity stylist, Kingsley Okoye Rex, in a recent interview has revealed why he chose to dump his school certificate and delve into the entertainment industry.
Okoye, UNIZIK alumnus and graduate of Computer-Science in an interview with Glamsquad Magazine stated that he bagged the degree just to make his parents happy and going to school to study was also a way to get an edge over his competitors in the entertainment industry, however, the certificate was never his first love. In his own words; “I just wanted to pass and make my parents proud.”
The Anambra state born filmmaker and fashion stylist who has styled the likes of Uche Jombo, Ruth Kadiri, Jim Iyke, Ike Ogbonna, Ramsey Noah, Ebele Okaro, and Jidekenne JKA Swanky noted that he wants to make an impact and change lives via entertainment generally. Influencing and touching lives.
According to the budding filmmaker, he has zero love for ‘school’, in his words; “I honestly don’t have any love for Computer Science, all the mathematics and programming in it. I am comfortable and thriving in the entertainment industry. Film and fashion is life to me.”
