International superstar Burna Boy shares his thoughts on the trending Netflix original series, Squid Game.
Burna Boy spoke via his official Instagram Story on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. The ‘Like To Party’ crooner said the movie reflected how there’s no true love in battle for survival.
The Grammy Award-winning musician stated he was heartbroken about the fact that there was no true love.
In his words, “Squid Game is actually the reality of how no one really truly loves anyone when it comes to survival. A reality that breaks my heart.”
Squid Game is a South Korean survival drama television series streaming on Netflix, it was released worldwide on September 17, 2021.
The movie was written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk; it stars Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Wi Ha-joon, Jung Ho-yeon, O Yeong-su, Heo Sung-tae, Anupam Tripathi, and Kim Joo-ryoung.
The series centers on a contest where 456 players, drawn from different walks of life but each deeply in debt, play a set of children’s games with deadly penalties for losing for the chance to win a ₩45.6 billion prize.
