Following the recent Ikoyi building collapse that claimed several lives, media personality, Stephanie Coker, has opined that human life no longer have value in Nigeria, as people die cheaply from avoidable occurrences.
The actress blamed the haphazard manner we live in Nigeria as the cause of the Ikoyi bulding collapse which has so far claimed about 40 lives.
“We are living haphazardly in Nigeria and being subjected to so much emotional trauma,” she wrote.
“We have to pray about everything because bare minimum standards are nonexistent in most sectors in Nigeria.
“Citizens have become desentized to some of the most horrific accidents. Ot’s not normal for trailer to fall on a car. It is not normal for a building to just collapse…
“I couldn’t even sleep last night just thinking about the human beings trapped in Ikoyi. There needs to be more value placed on ALL human life in Nigeria.” She added.
