Nollywood veteran actor, Muyiwa Ademola, advises the Nigerian government, parents and individuals on ways to end girl-child molestation.
The thespian noted that the government, parents and guardians have to do more to protect the girl-children. Speaking at the 2021 DAC International Awards, Muyiwa Ademola said perpetrators should be given heavy punishments in order to discourage people.
“The government, parents and the guardians have to do more. Everyone needs to be included,” he stated, adding that he has seen no court sentencing whoever molests a minor to a huge number of years in prison.
“People need to be discouraged. Maybe castration, something drastic and sad has to happen to people who molest minors before people desist from doing such.”
The amazing role interpreter further counseled parents to nurture their male children to respect, teach boys to live with girl-children and always take no for no.
Later that evening, the filmmaker, actor, and producer, Muyiwa Ademola, danced home with an award of recognition for his hard work and persistence in the entertainment industry.
The 50-year-old versatile entertainer appreciated the DAC awards’ organisers for the love they showed him. According to him; “It is always a great thing to be appreciated. I got my first award in 1993 from the University of Ibadan. I got one today.”
“That’s about 28 years span. Within this time, there was never a year I wouldn’t be awarded or honored via awards, at least one! Thank God for this Grace🙏🏽. And thank you all for the show of love ❤ . It’s never taken for granted. Thanks to DacAwards 2021.”
