Talented screen diva Yvonne Jegede has appreciated Nollywood veteran actor Olu Jacob after he was bestowed with a lifetime achievement award at the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF) 2021.
The mother of one shared a tear-dropping footage of the 79-year-old actor while receiving the award. Yvonne said she wept as she watched the thespian calmly walked forward with his beautiful wife, Joke Silva, to receive the plaque.
She celebrated the actor for blessing the Nigeria Movie Industry, Nollywood, with his talent and for paving the way for her.
She wrote; “Watched this video with tears in my eyes. I want to give him his flowers while I still can: uncle Olu Jacobs, thank you for blessing us with your talent, for paving the way for me.”
“I honor you and appreciate you for the immense contribution you have made to Nollywood. Thank you, sir @_olujacobs.”
Other Nollywood superstars such as Richard Mofe-Damijo, Omotola Jalade, Segun Arinze and Kate Henshaw also rejoiced with Olu Jacob in Yvonne’s comment section.
