The Afropop star’s sophomore album, ‘Apollo‘ which was released in 2020, and featured instant hits including ‘Champion’ and ‘Tattoo’ has also currently amassed over 57 million streams on Boomplay, propelling Fireboy into the Golden Club.

According to Boombuzz NG, Fireboy is the second act to cross the milestone after Burna Boy. Others on the list include Olamide, Joeboy, and Omahlay.

What this means for Fireboy

The numbers matter a lot in the music business. If for nothing at all, it inspires the artiste and his team to do more and better, considering the number of people who listen to his work.

What this means is that we can expect more quality work from Fireboy, even better than the magic he’s already creating.

On another hand, numbers translate to money in the music business. The more he gets, the better for him. While he serves us great content, having his numbers skyrocket, he also rakes in the money from the streams.
