Actress Mercy Aigbe Demands #JusticeForSylvester, Advises Parents

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has taken to her social media platform to lend her voice for Sylvester Oromoni who was allegedly beaten to death by his schoolmates.

Sylvester, a 12-year-old schoolboy, was said to have refused to be recruited into a cult group by his peers at Dowen College in Lagos state. Fellow students reportedly beat the young boy and later died from internal injuries sustained from the assault.

Reacting to this sad story, Mercy Aigbe advised parents to pay close attention to their children and instill good morals in them.

“Parents, don’t be too busy to instill good morals and values in your kids! Everything no be money! Please pay close attention to your kids!,” the actress wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday morning, December 4, 2021.

She added “Otherwise they will continue to bring disgrace, shame, curses and agony upon you!!!!”

“If it’s just you they will cos agony, I for no mind because, (e ni bi omo oran lon pon!!! ) But they shouldn’t use their lack of proper upbringing to cause harm to other people!!!!”

In the actress’ call for justice for Sylvester, she recommended that the kids who carried out the act should be sentenced to life imprisonment, while the school should be permanently locked.

In her words; “With a lot of sadness in my heart I say RIP and happy post humous birthday to the young angel, I pray you get justice!!!”

“Accountability! Justice is what we want right now!!! That innocent boy’s life was cut short in its prime in such a dastardly manner!”

“The children involved in that barbaric act should be fished out and locked up in prison FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“All other adults who are culpable in the murder should be sentenced too.”

“The useless school should be permanently shut down for showing that level of incompetency!”

“The most painful part of this is that we lost that boy 😢 and person wey don die, is gone forever!”

“Justice is what we demand! #justiceforslyvester.”

The Lagos state government has shut down the school pending investigations. Prior to this, the school denied the allegations with claims that the kid died after sustaining an injury from football.
