Nollywood filmmaker Obi Emelonye to release his award-winning movie ‘Black Mail’ on a streaming platform

Obi Emelonye, a UK-based Nollywood filmmaker, has hinted at the release date for his latest film Black Mail.

The award-winning film, which recently premiered at the British Urban Film Festival (BUFF), will be released on a yet to be confirmed streaming platform, according to Emelonye.

So far, Emelonye has not shared details of his choice on the platform the film would be released on but he has stated through an Instagram post that it will be released soon.

“It was my sincere privilege to introduce to the world the exciting little film we made. Fresh from an AMAA award win last weekend, Black Mail is coming soon on a streaming platform near you.” – Obi Emelonye.

What to expect from the movie Black Mail

Black Mail, directed by Emelonye, is the newest Nollywood film to be released as a video on demand.

Starring OC Ukeje in the lead role, the feature film shot in the United Kingdom in 2020 amidst the pandemic follows Chinda, a London-based actor who must go to great measures to prevent a horrible secret from ruining his life.

Black Mail recently won the Michael Anyiam Osigwe Award for Best Film by an African Living Abroad from the AMAA.
