Popular Nigerian singer, Simi recently announced the date of her upcoming headline concert tagged ‘Can You Simi Now Live with the Banjos’ which will make it her first musical concert since the last one she did in 2018.
According to many reports regarding her concert in 2018, the event was a big flop as the show slated to start by 8 pm did not start till about 11 pm when a lot of people had left the venue of the event. Although the singer had stated that logistics caused the setback at that time, now she is ready for a proper musical concert and willing to make it up to her fan.
In a social media post announcing the headline concert, Simi addressed her fans.
“It’s been 2 years 😭😭😭 and I’m about to make it up to you.”
While it’s important to note that Simi is willing to make it up to her fans, there are questions that need to be answered on whether the show will be worth your time or not.
What time will ‘Can You Simi Now’ kick-off?
Apparently in an attempt to avoid a repeat of what happened at her show in 2018, the show this year will start by 3 pm.
On the 28th of December, 2021, all roads will lead to Muri Okunola Park for a fun-filled afternoon with Simi.
we want to believe that the issue of logistics will not repeat itself and that proper planning is in place.
What is the theme of the party?
Simi will like to take you down memory lane with a 90’s themed event that will showcase her performing her greatest hits.
Fans are expected to come to the event dressed and style the 90’s way, paying a tribute to the era that birthed the type of music we enjoy now.
With brand affiliation to Chipper Cash and Glo Nigeria, Simi has a long list of surprises for her fans and lovers of the Afro R&B genre of music.
Will it be worth your time?
If we are to answer that question, absolutely.
With the way Simi is hyped about this and the lineup of artistes that are slated to perform on the show, alongside the 90’s themed style adopted for the show, we think it is going to be an incredible day of great music, funfilled with lots of memories to create.
Ticket prices for the event are N10,000 for Super Fan Ticket, and N25,000 for Golden Circle. For VVIP, you can call Barakat on +234 810 443 5604 for details. Tickets are available on Flutterwave.
