Popular On-Air Personality, Moet Abebe is one OAP whose name rings a bell in the ear of many when mentioned and it is because she is good at what she does.
However, some might say that even though Moet is good at what she does, maybe she is not good at socializing with her colleagues. Over the years, you hardly see her with the ladies in the same industry as her and that begs the question of whether she doesn’t like socializing or she is not on good terms with them.
Recently, Moet Abebe revealed the reason claiming that most of her colleagues fight over the same men, gigs, and sponsors.
Moet revealed this in a post she made on her Instagram story where she explained the reason she choose to maintain a safe distance from her colleagues.
“I’m as real as real can be. With me, what you see is what you get. I see things for what they are. This is what this industry has taught me. Don’t lose yourself in all the sauce, don’t be deceived by all the fake smiles and pleasantries.”
“Me I dey my lane, all these media girls unite, radio girls, hang out, you dey see me for there? Nope. Why? Because it is all smoke and mirrors. People fighting for the same men, gigs, and sponsors.”
What this means for Moet Abebe
Most industries rest on the back of cliques and caucuses, the media not so much different with OAPs and the relationships they keep, and as much as it is commendable to distant yourself from drama, putting yourself in a position to be isolated might not be a good move to make.
If nothing at all, Moet Abebe will only earn herself unnecessary enmity with her post but we hope that she knows this and is ready for the blowback from it.
