Africa Film Academy (AFA), the organiser of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAAs), has called on filmmakers for submission of their entries for possible nomination in the forthcoming 18th edition.
AFA declared that filmmakers to submit their feature, short, animation and documentary works for consideration in about 30 film categories of the award.
Submissions, according to the body organizing AMAAs 2022, will be done via Filmfreeway. All the supporting materials listed on the submission forms must accompany entries for the 18th award ceremony.
AFA announced in a press statement that the submission is open to films produced and released between May 1, 2021, and April 31, 2022. The body said movies longer than 120 minutes as a feature or a short film that exceeding 40 minutes will not be accepted.
The proposed date of the nomination’s gala night for the 18th AMAAs is August 26, 2022, while the award ceremony will run from October 26 to October 30, 2022.
AMA Awards is globally known for its reputation in rewarding the brilliance of players in the African movie industry.
