Nigerian celebrities have gone on to set examples of themselves when it comes to people who never stop punching above their weights in their careers. It is quite evident in the music industry as we see Afrobeats as a global genre of music. In other aspects of entertainment, some other celebrities have hoisted the Nigerian flag in global events or shows. Let’s take a look below:

Karen Igho

The winner of Big Brother Africa 2011 is Karen Igho appeared in the most recent episode of the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That…, as of this writing.

Cuppy

Guess who showed up unexpectedly during an episode of the E! reality show House of DVF? Yup! DJ Cuppy, a popular Nigerian DJ and artist, you guessed it.

Cuppy was the official DJ for the 2015 DVF Awards, and her clothing was fashioned by some of the candidates, so we watched as they attempted to glam her up and witnessed her emotions throughout the program.

Boma

Boma, a contentious Big Brother Naija contestant, is another celebrity who has been on an American television show. The Blacklist, one of the most popular American television shows, featured the Big Brother Naija star. People were taken aback when the news broke on the internet, and they responded by tweeting about it. @Dammiedammie35, a Twitter user, posted about it, writing “Is Boma on the blacklist? Are you a fan of Raymond Reddington’s blacklist? “Omohhhh this man is fire,” one user said, while another, @Ormainy, tweeted, “Boma is now saying all the stuff some of you believe he’s lying about o!” He never brought up the subject of poverty. ​

Dencia

Dencia, a singer and the CEO of a skincare company, is yet another celebrity who has appeared on an American television show. Dencia appeared as Blac Chyna’s friend on an episode of the ZEUS reality television show The Real Blac Chyna, and the two ladies addressed a variety of topics during the broadcast, ranging from colorism to money.

Esther Agunbiade

Big Brother Naija is a reality show in Nigeria. Esther Agunbiade, a Season 4 contestant on MTV’s The Challenge, competed in the 37th season of the American television show. On the sixth episode of the show, she was eliminated.

Tacha

Esther was not the only Big Brother Naija competitor or Nigerian who made an appearance on The Challenge’s 37th season. Tacha, a Nigerian, also appeared on the show, albeit she didn’t stay as long as Esther in the competition. On the third episode of the show, Tacha was eliminated.
