Veteran Nollywood actor, Nkem Owoh popularly known as Osuofia due to the character he played in the award-winning comedy movie Osuofia in London clocks 64 today.
The actor who is yet to post any pictures has however reposted congratulatory posts made by his fans, colleagues and followers on his Instagram stories.
Osuofia who has carved a niche for himself, especially as a comic actor, made the childhood of many Nigerian youths today.
Born in Udi, Enugu state, Owoh studied engineering at the University of Ilorin, where he also began acting in various television and film productions.
In late 80s, Owoh featured in the screen version of Chinua Achebe’s novel Things Fall Apart, a classic TV drama alongside Pete Edochie.
He has acted in over 100 movies including Osuofia in London (2003), which is considered as one of the most prominent in his career and earned him Best actor in a lead role award from the African movie academy awards (AMAA). Owoh who got married in 1998, is blessed with 2 children.
One of Owoh’s latest movies is Chief Daddy: Going for Broke (2021) where he played the character, Shoffa Donatus.
