It looks like it’s going to take a while before the Netflix movie, Tinder Swindler cools in the minds on Nigerians as Nigerian comedian Bovi shared his encounter with a staff in a London hotel.
Comedian, Bovi took to his Instastory to make the revelation, disclosing that upon arriving the hotel in London, he was asked to present the credit card he used in booking the room.
Bovi said the issues got worse after he told them that his wife booked the room and she’s in Nigeria.
The comedian who blamed Tinder Swindler, Simon Leveiv for the scrutiny by hotel workers, revealed that they felt he was stealing. He further disclosed that he used the “google me” line for the first time during the encounter. He wrote:
“Simon Leviev done spoil everywhere o. Tryna check into hotel in london and they insist I present the card that was used for the booking. I tell them it was done for me by my wife and she’s in naij. That made it worse. They think I’m stealing. Then to crown am, my own card dey decline.
For the first time in my life, I said the words “google me.”
