Victor Osuagwu vents on state of toxic petroleum, ask EFCC to arrest FG

Veteran Nollywood comic actor, Victor Osuagwu has joined the thousands of people protesting on the terrible state of petroleum sold by filling stations across the country.

The actor in a post made on his Instagram page vented his frustration towards the Federal Government of Nigeria, while also going as far as requesting that the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrest the ‘Federal Government’ for the importation of toxic and damaging petrol.

While expressing his anger, the actor did not fail to highlight the damages the toxic petrol causes to types of equipment like cars and generators while also pointing out that he wonders who would be responsible for the damages it causes.

Victor Osuagwu also took a jab at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, questioning their pattern of arrest and the type of people they arrest. Although, some parts of his statements are unclear whether it was a joke or he truly meant it.

“It is time for EFCC to arrest Federal Government.

“It’s not only to go and arrest someone spraying money or doing business, asking for their source of income.

“I’ve never seen EFCC arrest beggar or the woman with child by the side of the street begging for money their source of income. They’ve never done that.

“Look at the petroleum they imported for us. It’s spoiling our cars, trucks, and generators. In fact, this petroleum issue, I don’t know how we will survive.

“EFCC! I am giving you the order to go for mass arrest. Let it be a festival of the arrest.

“Arrest that man they call Federal Government. When you’ve arrested them, arrest the department, be it technical or any other branch. Because if you want to buy something, you test it and know if it’s good or not.

“That is why I am giving the order. Go straight and arrest that man called Federal Government. If you see that man, arrest him and tell them I gave the order. I don’t want a situation where I will wear boxers and start walking on the street protesting.”

Note: Victor Osuagwu spoke in pidgin in his post. The quote was edited to English to meet Within Nigeria’s standards.
