Popular Nigerian singer, Bella Shmurda has hinted at working towards winning the Grammys Award but says he is not in a rush for it.
The 25-yrs-old Dangbana Republik signed artist in an interview with Do2tun and Eva on the ‘Midday Show’ on Cool FM stated his intention to one day clinch the award but also spoke on the things that are more important to him right now.
While speaking on the essence of impacting the lives of people around him, Bella Shmurda further stated that the Grammys is just an award that will be at home while the people impacted and contributions to the music culture last forever.
“I definitely will work towards winning a Grammy but it’s not about the award. When you look back what do you see?
“You know, your works, your strength, the people you showed love; things you’ve done. That’s what matters the most. Because the award will just be at home, your name will be there.
“But how much have you done for your people? How well did you help the music itself not even by winning the Grammy? Anybody can win Grammy but what is your contribution?
“I still have a lot of work to do. I am not rushing, I am not in a haste. Grammy will come when it’s right but right now, I have to fulfil all righteousness.”
