The North American premiere of Michael Obiazi’s migrant film ‘Flaky’ has been confirmed.
‘Flaky’ tells the story of Ibinabo, a Nigerian immigrant who goes to New York with the hopes of working as a cashier in a Seafood Restaurant and achieving the American dream. Tinuke Adetunji plays Ibinabo, and Dania Osseni, Stephanie Pope, William Martinez, and Ebele Okaro play supporting roles.
Plans are said to be underway for securing an African distribution deal for the Bridge Production feature film but for now, the film will premiere on VOD and satellite platforms including AT&T U-Verse, DirecTV, Dish Network and Sling TV, iN DEMAND (70% of cable market – Spectrum, Comcast), Vubiquity, Hoopla, Amazon, iTunes, Vudu, Xbox, Google Play, YouTube Movies from March 22.
The film will also be available on DVD via Amazon, Bestbuy, Walmart, and Barnesandnoble.
As stated earlier, the alumnus of the New York Film Academy also confirmed that plans are currently in the works to negotiate an African distribution deal for the film.
