Nigeria’s music producer Pheelz’s latest single dubbed ‘Finesse’ has become the most Shazamed song in the world.
The song, ‘Finesse’, featuring budding talent Buju, now known as BNXN, recorded the incredible feat today, March 8, 2022, which happens to be the International Women’s Day.
Pheelz, who couldn’t contain his excitement, shared broke the news on his official social media page on Twitter today. A check by Adeyinka Oluwamayowa, a revered entertainment editor at WithinNigeria, also confirmed the news shortly after Pheelz’s tweet.
Shazam is an application that can identify music, movies, advertising, and television shows, based on a short sample played and using the microphone on the device.
‘Finesse’ being the most Shazamed song in the world right now means it is the most-sought after song globally as of this time.
There is no payment for owning the most Shazamed song, however, Shazam drives sales in other music stores through music discovery.
