‘The Wrong Girl,’ by award-winning director, Frank Orji which was produced in collaboration with AACA Film & Acting School is set to be officially premiered this April.

The movie tells the story of an undercover Hawks agent Fhatuwani who is kidnapped by three amateur thugs – Moses, Dawg, and Chekers – to infiltrate and take down a horrific human trafficking network masterminded by Goty, a fearsome villain, in this thriller starring Palesa Sehlare in the major role.

Palesa Sehlare, an AACA Film & Acting School student, stars alongside Ntando Mthembu as Moses, Mpho Malange as Chekers, and Sean O’niel as Dawg. Nwabisa Noguba, a graduate of the institution, plays Goty.

Music executive Stanley Khoza, who works at the Hawks office with Fhatuwani, Muvhango actresses, Maumela Mahuwa, who portrays a cop, and Eunice Mabeta, who plays Goty’s mother, round out the cast.

Maumela Mahuwa has played Suzan Mukwevho, the family matriarch, in the popular SABC 2 soapie for over ten years, with Eunice Mabeta playing her aunt.

‘The Wrong Girl,’ directed by Nigerian director and founder of AACA Film & Acting School, was shot in South Africa and will be released before Orji’s anticipated feature film, which is now in pre-production and will begin filming later this year.
