Nigerian pop star, Ayo Balogun a.k.a Wizkid has finally broken silence after his double loss at the recently held 64th Grammy Awards.
Recall that 61-year-old Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo on April 3, 2021, won a Grammy at the 64th Grammy Awards for Best Global Music Album, beating Wizkid and others who were nominated in that category for the prize.
Also, South African DJ, Black Coffee, also became the first African DJ to win a Grammy Award after he bagged a win in the best dance/electronic album category.
Wizkid, while reacting via his Instagram page, congratulated Angelique Kidjo, Black Coffee, and other winners on their win.
He wrote: “Love to my brother, a true King @realblackcoffee and Queen @angeliquekidio for the wins and for consistently shining light to the continent.
“African music rising.”
