StarTimes recently surprised Nigerian actor Femi Adebayo with a special screening of his latest film, King of Thieves.
According to reports, the private screening was a surprise for Femi Adebayo who is also an ambassador of the Pay-TV company, and the screening was held at the Silverbird Cinemas.
The popular Nollywood actor was showered with praises for his originality on the movie narrative as well as the customes used in the movie.
Nollywood actors and movie reviewers such as StarTimes CEO Alex Jian, Content Director Viki Liu, Bose Adewara, Lazarus Ibeabuchi, Segun Arinze, Yaw, Kate Effiong, and Abubakar Yakubu were in attendance for the private screening of the epic action-thriller.
Speaking about the idea behind the movie (King of Thieves), Femi Adebayo stated that he just needed to showcase the creativity of the Yoruba culture.
“The inspiration behind this movie is to showcase the creativity of the Yoruba culture to the entire world. Cultural folklore and true epic films are gradually dying, yet it is full of beautiful stories.”
Also speaking at the event, Alex Jian, StarTimes CEO showered praises on Femi Adebayo for the King of Thieves project while also stating StarTimes’ business strategy.
