Actress Anita Jospeh drums support for a bride who called off her wedding over domestic violence

Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph has reacted to the trending news of a lady who called off her wedding which was few days away over domestic violence.

Miss Ozioma Helen, had called off her wedding to one David Okike over fears of being domestically abused, battered and assaulted in marriage.

The lady confessed that the dowry paid would be returned and asked for forgiveness from relatives for the disgrace in her action since the wedding was meant for April 16. She wrote

“I am calling off the marriage between me and David Okike that was supposed to hold this Saturday, April 16, 2022. I have been enduring domestic violence for over a year now. David hits me at every opportunity.

He uses Knife, plank, broom, cutlass, belt, stick, etc. He still gave me a head injury some days ago. I will return the bride price he paid immediately. I am not ready to die young. I apologize to my friends and family for this inconvenience. Everyone should please respect my decision. THANK YOU”.

Weighing in, Anita Joseph praised the lady for making the best decision.

The actress stated that she is glad to know women are wisening up and speaking up for themselves.

Anita Jospeh bragged that no one can hurt her friend except she isn’t aware of what is going on.

She added that she can’t see her friend abused by her husband and keep quiet. She wrote

“I’m so glad women are beginning to speak up. This 1st slide marriage never even start ahhhh my Darlyn you did well you deserve better.
