Davido and Adekunle Gold confirmed to perform at Something in the water music festival

Popular Nigerian musicians, Davido and Adekunle Gold have been confirmed to perform at Pharrel William’s music festival ‘Something in the water’ coming on June 19, 2022.

After a long halt caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the music festival is coming back to the excitement of music and festival lovers in all its elements.

The confirmation of Davido and Adekunle Gold was revealed by Pharrel William and his team via an Instagram post made on Monday, the 25th of April, 2022.

Davido and Adekunle Gold will be joining a list of global artists such as Lil Baby, Chloe x Halle, Lil Uzi Vert, Tyler, the Creator, Tierra Whack, Run the Jewels, Jon Batiste, Dave Matthews Band, and more.

Speaking about the festival, Pharrel William gave a hint on what to expect from the festival this year.

“Something In The Water is a Black solution (LOVE) for a systemic issue. And this year we are taking our celebration to a higher platform — the nation’s Capital during Juneteenth Weekend. We want to show the world that there is Something In The Water across the whole DMV and I want to continue to bring awareness to the greatness within these communities and invite large corporations to show up for the people. DC has always been a deep inspiration to me as a person and a musician.

“It is the land where Go-Go music was birthed which has provided so much for our people. Our sponsors continue to go the extra mile to show that Something In The Water is so much more than a festival. The goodwill we generate is a defining trait of who we are.”
