Nollywood Veteran, Bimbo Akintola who has been missing on screen for a while, finally staged a big comeback. She is part of a short film titled, “Ruth”.
According to reports, Bimbo has been off the social scene and not spotted at public functions. Recently, Actress Moyo Lawal reached out to her on Instagram after she went missing in action for years.
A couple of days ago, Underdog TV, a movie platform, released its short film ‘Ruth’ centred on promoting the woes of domestic violence. In the movie, Bimbo Akintola showed once again her abilities to interpret and define emotions perfectly with her facial expressions.
The six-minute Kunle Omope written short film was produced by Funsho Adebayo, Yetunde Ajibode, Kanso Ogbolu and directed by Tope Alake. It also stars veteran actor Funsho Adeolu.
The short film is timely as it follows a season of domestic violence social media call-outs inspired by the passing of gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu.
Osinachi’s death sparked a nationwide outrage especially after family members opened up on how she suffered domestic violence for years.
