Actor Saidi Balogun has declared his intention to contest for president of The Golden Movie Ambassador Association of Nigeria (TGMAAN).
Balogun announced this on Instagram on Wednesday, May 11.
In his speech, the 55-year-old stated that he believes passionately that “with a solid foundation, we can pave the way for the next generation of leaders by putting a structure in place for them to continue building on”. He wrote:
“A house built on solid rock will always stand the test of time. With your collective support, oneness and mutuality, we can achieve much more.
I hereby declare my interest to vie for the post of President of our distinguished association, The Golden Movie Ambassador Association of Nigeria (TGMAAN). I believe passionately that with a solid foundation, we can pave the way for the next generation of leaders by putting a structure in place for them to continue building on.
As artists and entertainers, it is not too much to say we are models, Leaders and the inspiration of the people, we are VISIBLE and therefore we should take our rightful place in the governance of our society.
Our mission of REBRANDING, RESTRUCTURING AND REPOSITIONING of the entertainment industry is achievable through our collective and dedicated efforts. Unmatchable, we are! We will all smile to success, so help us God. TGMAAN UNMATCHABLE!”
