FilmOne Entertainment, one of Netflix Naija’s aggregators has confirmed the lists of Nollywood movies that will be available on Netflix from June till August.
The films join nearly 100 Nollywood titles, including originals, that are presently available to stream on the platform.
This was announced with a post made on FilmOne’s official Instagram account listing out all the movies viewers are to expect starting from May 27th till August 19, 2022.
“Netflix isn’t left out. Coming to you this year are some of your favorite Nollywood movies #naijaonnetflic”
The premiere dates for Biodun Stephen’s ‘Breaded Life,’ Niyi Akinmolayan’s ‘My Village People,’ ‘Prophetess,’ and Michael ‘Amapsalmist’ Akinrogunde’s ‘The Ghost and the Tout Too’ have already been set.
‘Breaded Life’ and the aforementioned were among the year’s top-grossing films. Last year, the Toyin Abraham-produced sequel to ‘The Ghost and the Tout’ claimed the top spot at the box office, grossing over N134 million.
With N131 million, ‘Prophetess’ was second, followed by ‘My Village People’ with N100 million, and ‘Breaded Life’ with N88 million.
The release dates of the movies are as follows:
- Breaded Life – June 10
- Prophetess – July 8
- The Ghost and the Tout – July 15
- My Village People – July 22
- Lockdown – August 5
- The Razz Guy – August 12
- Dwindle – August 19
