Peter Nwachukwu, the widower of deceased gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has lamented the backlash from the public following the death of his wife, saying that he has suffered a lot.
It would be recalled that Osinachi died on Friday, April 8. Since her demise, many of her colleagues and close associates pointed fingers at her husband, as they accused him of being responsible for the music star’s death.
Justice N.K. Nwosu-Iheme of a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Wuse, on Friday, June 3, 2022, remanded Peter Nwachukwu at the Kuje Correctional Facility.
Nwachukwu was remanded pending the hearing and determination of the homicide-related suit instituted against him by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami.
Speaking in an interview with TVC News at a High Court in Abuja, where he was arraigned, Nwachukwu said he never hit the deceased singer
Mr Nwachukwu disclosed that Osinachi died of lung cancer.
His words;
“I’ve suffered a lot, I’ve suffered, I’ve been abandoned, what killed my wife is cancer of the lungs, not me. I’m suffering for what I didn’t pass through, what I don’t know.”
