Nigerian musicians Burna Boy and Tems’ songs have been projected to be two of the top-most tracks to listen to throughout the 2022 summer.
Spotify, a premium music streaming platform, listed Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’ and Tems’ collaboration with Future and Drake on ‘Wait For You,’ amongst other songs as part of their ‘Songs Of Summer Predictions 2022.’
Burna Boy and Tems were the only Nigerian artistes that made the list. Spotify said some criteria were considered for the songs, including their cultural impact and current trajectory.
“To determine this list of songs, which we predict will be on repeat over the next three months, our curation teams pay attention to a number of factors, including the track’s current trajectory and cultural impact, combined with forecasting based on prior years’ knowledge of what tends to pop throughout the summer.”
“But we also took this moment to see what other summer trends are emerging as people start to enjoy more fun in the sun.”
