Mayorkun, a multiple award-winning Nigerian musician, has shared his two cents while watching the Presidential Primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Sony Music artiste believes the country’s problems are now in the hands of the youths, unlike when they used to be handled by the older generation — the parents.
“Gone are those days when the country’s problem used to be our parents’ problems. They’re now ours!” the ‘Holy Father’ crooner shared on his official Instagram page.
Mayorkun didn’t disclose what triggered him to say such, however, with the poor state of the country, the Nigerian youths are the ones suffering the most setbacks.
Following the APC Presidential Primaries, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, emerged as the presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu, who won with a total vote of 1,271, defeated 13 other contenders, including the seating Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, to emerge as the flag bearer of the party at the Special National Convention of the party in Abuja on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
