Multi-talented Nigerian music producer Pheelz and amazing singer Ayra Starr have bagged BET Awards nomination in the category of ‘Best New International Act.’
The ‘Best New International Act,’ a category that the viewers will decide, was announced on Tuesday, May 7, 2022, weeks after releasing the main nominations were released.
Pheelz and Ayra Starr will compete for the award, alongside other international talents nominated. The award for the category will be presented on the June 27, during the BET awards.
Nigerian stars like Tems, Fireboy DML and Wizkid are also nominated in different categories of the 2022 BET Awards. Tems was nominated in ‘Best International Act,’ ‘Best Collaboration,’ and ‘Best New Artist’ categories.
Wizkid got a nod in the ‘Best male R&B/pop artist’ and ‘Best Collaboration’ categories. YBNL Nation’s Fireboy DML was nominated in the ‘Best International Act’ section of the award.
