Nigerian rapper, Emeka Akumefule popularly known by his stage name Blaqbonez has boasted on social media claiming nobody made a better album than him last year.
The Nigerian rapper made this statement when he made a post on his Twitter page, stating that hit singles play a huge role in an album’s economic success and critical praise, but it doesn’t change the fact that his 2021 album, ‘Sex Over Love’ was the best album of the year 2021.
“I know numbers play a big factor in these things, but nobody made a better album than me last year, no album was as impactful, and nobody changed the direction of music like I did, one or 2 smash hit singles doesn’t change that, but I know the game is the game, and I’m ready to play!”

According to the ‘Bilngs’ crooner, nobody has changed the path of music as much as he has and as a result of that, he claims to have forged a new path for the Afrobeats soundscape. Also, Blaqbonez stated that he is ready to play knowing fully well that hit songs are the major criterion for determining success.
It is worthy of note that this is not the first time Blaqbones has asserted his art’s superiority. He recently announced to other musicians on Twitter that his 2022 album, ‘Young Preacher,’ will be the best, and that other artists must accept this.
Despite the fact that the material was conveyed lightheartedly and in the traditional Blaqbonez funny style, reviewers will notice a consistency motivated by a high level of self-confidence.
It is important to note that the claim by Blaqbonez that his 2021 album ‘Sex Over Love’ was the finest of the year will be scrutinized by fans and reviewers using different criteria.
