Respect, love go hand in hand – netizens tackle Actress, Kiitan Bukola over her post about submission

Popular Nollywood actress, Kiitan Bukola has been tackled by netizens over her recent post about women submitting and respecting their men.

The thespian had stated that women should normalize being respectful and submissive.

According to her, men are meant to be leaders, but social media gives the false, specious reality that equal right exists between both genders when, in reality, men are the heads.

She also added that women’s beauty tend to fade with age and when it does, they cannot remarry; while men can still get married at age 50, if they so desire.

Her post didn’t sit well with some Instagram users who maintain that respect goes both ways and if a man loves a woman right, submitting would come easily. Some netizens also applauded her for the post but asserted that the latter part of it was unnecessary.

See Kiitan’s post and reactions below:

“Dear ladies, weather we like it or not.. a man is d head of the family.

let us normalize being submissive & respectful. U see this S.M ehn.. it will mk u think we hv equal right with them but in actual sense, Na dem be d boss.. no matter how beautiful, hot, sexy u are. Wen u reach 50 yrs max. U go retire…. beauty go fade.
But a man at 50 years can convinently marry a sweet 16/18 yrs old girl.. if u use their eyes see shege now.. remember a time will come when market go finish inside ur shop … table don turn be dat.. especially if they com get money join… ti e’ ti taah.”
