Rave of the moment, Asake, has responded to a six-year-old tweet of Blaqbonez lauding his enviable talent.
In the tweet, which was shared on Twitter in 2016, Blaqbonez branded Asake as the greatest performer in the music industry.
As at that time, Asake was an undergraduate in Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), and he had just rounded off a performance on campus. The show prompted Blaqbonez to pay respect to him.
“The greatest performer in our music industry is in oau, his name is Asake What i saw was unbelievable, thirty minutes of Greatness argghhhh,” Blaqbonez wrote on Twitter.

Six years later, the social media post caught the attention of Asake, who eventually rose to prominence in 2022 following his hit track, ‘Omo Ope.’ Reacting to the post, he said he had been in music long before his fame arrived.
