Infusing comedic elements and merriments, Kizz Daniel takes us to Asia in his fantastic visuals for his global hit single, ‘Buga,’ featuring incredible Tekno.
‘Buga’ is a colourful video that recreates a much-admired Indian festival, ‘Holi’. ‘Holi’ is also known as the festival of love, the festival of colours or the festival of spring, which connotes the triumph of good over evil.
For many Indians, the festive day is a day to play and laugh, forgive and forget, and, importantly, a time to mend all broken relationships.
Kizz Daniel carefully matched the lyrical content of ‘Buga’ to fit into the festival of colour, where he displayed different Afro-centric attires that put the beauty of the African fashion industry on extensive parade.
‘Buga’ tells a story of an individual flaunting wealth and enjoying his/her best life after working hard to acquire the fortune. “After one has put in the work, one should let one’s results speak loudly,” Kizz Daniel explained the concept behind the track in a recent interview.
“Enjoy your success. Whatever you’re seeing out there, whatever results the song is generating, that’s the result of hard work. I have consistently put in my best into all my songs. Nothing good comes easy. As long as people work hard to make legitimate money, they should be proud to flaunt their wealth,” the musician added.
Undoubtedly, the music video directed by insanely talented TG Omori, starring award-winning comedian Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus), is the loudest in the Nigerian music industry right now, and Kizz Daniel wore all his armour of pride in the flick.
Kizz Daniel, through ‘Buga’ video, displayed not only his enviable talent, he shoved it in everyone’s face!
