On Monday, June 27, 2022, Universal Music Group (UMG), the global leader in music-based entertainment, and Audiomack, the artist-first music streaming and discovery platform, announced a new licensing agreement to make UMG content available to Audiomack subscribers in Africa, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
The arrangement extends a prior licensing contract for the brands in the United States between Audiomack and UMG.
With the signing of this new, comprehensive agreement, users of Audiomack in 16 African nations (Algeria, Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe), as well as the United Kingdom and Canada, can now access a carefully curated selection of UMG content. For its premium users in Africa, UMG will furthermore provide Audiomack with a comprehensive catalog selection.
