Yul Edochie blasts Ahmed Musa over viral post

Popular Nigerian Actor, Yul Edochie has called out Nigerian footballer Ahmed Musa for sharing his post about the striking Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) and the government without crediting him as the writer.

Ahmed Musa’s post which is trending online, has left many applauding the footballer, who many believe was the original writer.

In a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, the footballer wondered how the politicians feel when they travel abroad to visit their children’s schools while “ASUU is on strike”.

To our political office holders whose children school abroad. How do you feel visiting your children abroad taking pictures in their schools and posting online while ASUU is on strike?” he wrote.

Like seriously, how is it ok to you? You’re running a system that you don’t even believe in. Show me one Oyibo leader whose child is schooling in Nigeria.

“E no dey touch una? And when you return, Nigerian youths will still gather and sing praises for una.”

Reacting, Yul, in a statement, stressed that there was nothing wrong with Musa copying his post, adding that the Super Eagles Star should have acknowledged him as the writer.

Na me think am, write am post for my pages this morning. My brother Ahmed Musa munch am post for him own page without giving me credit for it. e good? We all want a working Nigeria. Nothing wrong with copy and paste, but you should give credit to the writer.”
