Monalisa Chinda, Director of Communications of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has announced the suspected kidnap of two movie stars, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel in a statement issued on Friday, July 29.
According to the statement, the veterans were reportedly missing after their family members confirmed they didn’t come back from a film location at Ozalla Town, Enugu State.
Monalisa noted that they are at the moment believed to have been abducted. It was equally stated that the worrisome development has increased fear and tension among theatre practitioners.
In light of the suspected kidnapping, The National President of Actors Guild, Emeka Rollas has advised actors to be more vigilant and cautious, and avoid going to outskirts of cities to shoot.
