Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara state has appointed popular actor Eyiwumi Muka Aramide (Muka Ray) as the Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism.
Muka Ray who is a Yoruba film actor hails from Ipetu/Rore/Aran-Orin Ward in Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State.
The state government made this public through a statement on its official Twitter account.
The post read: “Governor @RealAARahman AbdulRazaq has appointed Eyiwumi Muka Aramide (Muka Ray) as the Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism. Muka Ray who is a popular Nigeria Nollywood actor hails from Ipetu/Rore/Aran-Orin Ward in Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State.”
Muka Ray’s appointment is coming on the heel of the inauguration of five new commissioners and a Special Adviser — a minor cabinet reshuffle that saw four others move places.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the Governor had during the week announced new cabinet members: Alhaji Agbaje Wahab (Whyte) who has been assigned to man the Ministry of Water Resources; Ibrahim Akaje (Business, Innovation and Technology); Adenike Harriet Oshatimehin (Solid Minerals); Dr. Afeez Abolore (Tertiary Education); and Lateef Alakawa Gidado (Agric).
The Governor also effected a slight cabinet reshuffle involving four ministries.
Architect Aliyu Mohammed Saifudeen moved from Local Government to Housing and Urban Development, replaced by Aliyu Kora Sabi who was before now in the Ministry of Energy.
Sabi is replaced by Mariam Ahmed Hassana — until now the Commissioner for Special Duties. Olaitan Buraimah moves to Ministry of Special Duties.
The Governor also inaugurated Atiku Abdusalam as Special Adviser on Civic Engagement.
