Singer Kizz Daniel has been released from police custody in Tanzania.
The chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa disclosed this on Monday night, August 8. She said:
“Kizz Daniel has been released. His legal team will however report back to the police tomorrow while he will subsequently return back to Nigeria.”
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls, the singer was arrested on Monday morning after failing to show up for a paid concert in the country. A video showing the singer being escorted by the authorities, into a police van went viral.
The 28-year-old was scheduled to perform at the Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena in Tanzania as part of his Afro Classic World Tour.
Fans of Kizz Daniel who had gathered at the venue left in anger and trashed the place after he failed to show up.
