The influence of ‘Fall,’ a song by Afro-fusion star Davido, is still unmistakable in the foreign market.
The song, ‘Fall,’ has made its presence on the Billboard U.S Afrobeats Chart again, this time it peaked at number 50.
This comes after Davido performed as a guest artiste at Travis Scott’s recent show at the O2 Arena on Saturday.
Released on June 2, 2017, ‘Fall’ peaked at number 18 and spent 18 weeks on the Billboard charts after its release. The song was in February 2019 declared the longest charting Nigerian pop song in the history of Billboard.
The video for ‘Fall’ also set a record as the first Nigerian music video to attain 100 million views on YouTube, a music and video streaming platform, in 2017.
The highly successful song, ‘Fall,’ as of August 2021, has over 60 million streams on Spotify with gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Music Canada.
