Respected creative executive, Godwin Tom, has been appointed to lead Nigeria’s division of Sony Music Publishing.
Godwin is has over 20 years’ experience as a creative executive with is influence in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. He worked with top musicians in Nigeria like Wizkid, Davido, M.I Abaga, Wande Coal, Waje, Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz, Beverly Naya, and many others as CEO of iManage Africa, a talent management company.
Being the Managing Director of Sony Music Publishing in Nigeria, Godwin will “further the company’s global reach and support its growing roster of songwriters and composers across the region.”
Speaking on his new appointment, Godwin said, “I am honoured and humbled by the opportunity to work for the No. 1 music publisher in the world.
“Africa has so much talent, culture and uniqueness to share with the rest of the world and I am excited to be a part of the incredible global network of teams that will help build a home for Africa’s best songwriters.”
