Filmmaker Zeb Ejiro has said he was used by God to make the late Ada Ameh a star.
The veteran movie producer who gave Ada her first role in the 1996 movie Domitila, said this at the night of tributes hosted by the cast of the Africa Magic series The Johnsons.
The event was held at the Amphi Theater Freedom Park, Marina, Lagos on Thursday August 18.
While paying tribute to the deceased, Zeb Ejiro said God used him to give Ada Ameh the opportunity to be a star. He added that he was proud of the movie star for working so hard. He said:
“I’m so proud of Ada because God used me to give her the opportunity to be a star and from day one Ada did not give up. Ada worked so hard so each time I see her, I tell her ‘baby I’m so proud of you‘.”
Produced by Zeb Ejiro, Domitila also starred Kate Henshaw, Sandra Achums, Ann Njamanze, Charles Okafor, Alex Lopez, Maureen Ihua, Sunny McDon, Basorge Tariah Jr and the late Enebeli Elebuwa.
Ada Ameh, aged 48, died on Sunday, July 17, 2022, two years after the death of her daughter Aladi.
