Actress Joke Silva has yet again debunked the death rumour about her husband, veteran actor Olu Jacobs.
The 60-year-old debunked the rumour in a statement shared on Instagram on Monday, August 29.
The actress also threatened to take legal action against those spreading the fake news about her husband’s death. The statement read:
“Good day everyone, trust all is going well. The Jacob clan would love to inform you that Pa J (Olu Jacobs MFR) is alive and enjoying himself as always in the comfort of his home and loved ones. To all those that have decided to ignore our last warnings regarding fake new, kindly prepare for legal action.”
In October 2021, Joke shut down rumours of her husband’s death after the fake news circulated on the internet. She told The Punch:
“Don’t mind them, they’re just talking rubbish; don’t disturb your head. He is in the living room right now about to have Eba and Ogbono soup. Let them keep deceiving themselves. He is hale and hearty.”
Olu Jacobs was also rumoured dead in 2020. Actress Lala Akindoju who is quite close to the veteran and his wife, however, debunked the rumour in a Twitter post saying that she spoke with the 80-year-old and he was “alive and well”
A star of several film, TV and theatre productions, Olu Jacobs has been off the acting scene for a while due to age.
