Sensational Nigerian songstress, Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems has revealed she is back on social media after a brief hiatus.
The performing artiste while announcing her resumption back to social media via her verified account on the microblogging and social networking service app, Twitter, also revealed the reasons behind her absence from social media.
The multiple-award winning singer and entertainer who made an appearance on Twitter on Tuesday, after almost two weeks off, revealed that, she had been off social media due to the time she had to sacrifice for her music career, adding that she is excited to be back.
This is coming after 2022 MTV Video Music Awards where she lost to Trinidadian rapper, Nicki Minaj in the best Hip Hop award category. She tweeted:
“My people dem, i missed you so much. I was cooking, the musik carry me where i kno no”.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls Tems revealed at a concert that she got inspired to record ‘Mr Rebel’ after armed robbers attacked her and her mum some time ago.
The songstress claimed that the burglar broke into their house brandishing knives and robbed her mother, who was suffering from a broken leg.
The ‘Essence’ hitmaker who got emotional whilst narrating the incident to her fans on stage recalled that her mother gave her approval after she later told her about intentions to release a song with that title.
