Filmmaker, director and media consultant, Niyi Akinmolayan has queried record producer and CEO of Mavins Records, Michael Collins Ajereh professionally known as Don Jazzy.
The filmmaker questioned why the Mavins boss’ artistes always follow the same pattern of song.
In a post shared on Twitter on Thursday, the filmmaker said most of the songs Don Jazzy’s artistes sing, are all about sex and sometimes they don’t know what they are singing about.
Speaking further, Niyi stated that hearing the artistes sing about sex makes him feel “somehow”. He tweeted:
“This thing where Don Jazzy gets young artists and most of the song is about sex and sex makes me feel somehow sha.
“I don’t know. It’s all sex sex sex. Sometimes u can tell they don’t even know what they are singing about. But what do I know? The music industry is rich, as u say.”
The statement has however generated backlash from critics who bashed him. The filmmaker also responded to some of them. See some reactions below:
