Big Brother Naija season six winner, Whitemoney and fellow ex-housemate Tega Dominic have clashed over the latter’s statement about a current housemate Phyna.
During a podcast with Glitch Africa on Wednesday, Tega described season seven housemate, Phyna as ‘annoyingly loud’, adding that she shares similar characteristics with Whitemoney because of her constant use of the slang ‘who dey’ which she dislikes. She said:
“This is my perspective of Phyna, I think she is a very sweet girl but like you said that whole shouting thing, I would ask for voluntary exit. Phyna is annoyingly loud and that blurs my perspective of her. There was a time I was looking at her and I said this girl is actually fine but then again she comes up with that ‘who dey who dey’ you know I was already bored from my season of ‘who dey’ and then it’s now here again.”
Defending Phyna on Twitter, Whitemoney advised her and others to continue being loud if it would help them attain their goals. He said:
“If being loud would get to where you are going to, be the loudest. Let no one hold you back or try to shape your life to suit theirs”
“So “WHO DEY” bin dey pain dem that year”.
Reacting to his statement in an Instagram live session, Tega called Whitemoney ‘bitter’ and dared him to call her name with his ‘full chest’ if he was not afraid.
Recall evicted Big Brother Naija season seven housemate Kess had also made an unflattering remark concerning Groovy only riding on Phyna’s popularity and their relationship been a game.
Kess said this during a recent podcast hosted by Charles Born and Jumoke which also featured ex-housemate Tega Dominic.
According to 28-year-old Kess:
“Groovy doesn’t like Phyna, he is just playing the game. He is using her and riding on her popularity. It’s surprising that out of all the girls in the house he decided to date Phyna.”
Before her eviction from the show, another housemate Amaka accused Phyna of betrayal. She claimed Phyna denied her after telling her to reveal the latter’s sexual relationship with Groovy to the other housemates.
