Nigerian Filmmaker, Geshin Salvador has explained the minimalist approach to making his latest film, ‘Ticket To Life.’
Geshin Salvador, in an Instagram post he made, revealed that ‘Ticket to Life’ was his attempt to capture the realities of humanity.
Also, the post was accompanied by a teaser of what to expect from the movie.
“To effectively capture the gut-wrenching travails experienced by humans in overcoming their life demons, it became imperative that I strip the film of ‘gratuitous and tasteless pictures of wealth or excess’ by setting the film in a world that is true to the soul of the story.
“Ticket to Life is a pulsating human story that needed to be told sincerely, hence, it deserved a minimalist approach to the making of it and I am glad I chose the arts over the usual unnecessary glamour that is now rife.”
Written by Miskeen Anav from a story by Tomisin Ayoade, the Meroestream and Nubian Production collaborated project centers on a young woman who discovers a sinister secret during her search for greener pastures. She must strike a pact with an archenemy to protect herself from another foe.
Sambasa Nzeribe (AMVCA Slow Country), Linda Osifo (Tanwa Savage), Debby Emokpaire (Clinical Matters), Tina Mba (The Set Up), and Christian Ochiagha are among the ensemble cast members of the drama directed by Eugene Enogwe.
