The Managing Director of Sapphire Scents Limited, Adewale Aladejana, also known as Wale Jana, has broken his silence following his arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC had arraigned Aladejana on Tuesday before Justice M.A Madugu of the Federal High Court in Abuja over three-count charges bordering on misappropriation and obtaining under false pretence.
He was alleged to have collected the sum of N12 million from potential investors with a promise of turnover in six months, without offering any profit or returning the invested funds to his investors.
In a cryptic post via his Instagram handle on Saturday, Wale Jana shaded his critics, saying their opinions do not count. He wrote:
“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
”The credit belongs to the man who is actually, in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who at the best knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly.”
